In addition to the recreation opportunities listed below, Grayhawk boasts two gated residential areas that have 24 hour, state-of-the-art security features. The community areas are meticulously landscaped with plants indigenous to our beautiful desert location. Grayhawk has allowed for large areas of Natural Area Open Space as well, and our stunning golf courses, (ranked in the Top 10 Golf Courses in Arizona by Golf Digest) meandering throughout the community, creates a lush contrast to its natural setting. Below is information to help you make the most of its convenient facilities. DINING Southwestern dining, with a fabulous view. Quill Creek Cafe and Phil's Grill offer two unique dining options at Grayhawk's own award-winning clubhouse. For meetings or special occasions, the Heather Farr Room, Champion's Room and Board Room are also available. Call 480-502-1700 for reservations or catering information or visit www.grayhawkgolf.com. Named for PGA touring pro Phil Mickelson, the cozy Phil's Grill features a wood-burning sandstone fireplace, supple leather chairs and big-screen televisions. The menu is a mixture of traditional grill items as well as excellent Southwestern-inspired dishes. The Quill Creek Cafe, on the other hand, is a casual, yet upscale eatery accentuated by its sculpted plaster walls, beautiful wood and log ceilings, custom juniper and copper bar and demonstration kitchen. Large picture windows showcase breathtaking views of Grayhawk's Raptor golf course and Scottsdale's McDowell Mountains. For an even better view, al fresco dining is available on the cafe's creekside patio, where a mesquite-burning fireplace keeps the atmosphere warm and inviting. The Quill Creek Cafe's menu includes eclectic dishes ranging from classic American cuisine and delicious pasta creations to tempting Southwestern specialties. GOLF For golf enthusiasts, the Grayhawk Golf Club combines two of the Southwest's most thrilling golf courses with all of the ambience and service you'd expect from a fine private club. Yet Grayhawk can be enjoyed by residents and guests alike on a daily-fee basis. Grayhawk's Talon Course, designed by golf legend David Graham and architect Gary Panks is home to the the Kostis/McCord Learning Center. The Raptor Course, Tom Fazio's first daily-fee golf course in the Valley, presents an exceptional challenge. At Grayhawk you only pay when you want to play. Scottsdale's acclaimed Grayhawk Golf Club offers two of the Southwest's most enjoyable and challenging golf experiences. In fact, the 6,973-yard, par-72 Talon Course, was selected as one of Golf Magazine's "Top 10 You Can Play." In addition to thrilling golf, Talon provides players with breathtaking views of the nearby McDowell Mountains and the unspoiled beauty of the great Sonoran Desert. Grayhawk's Talon is the host site of the finals of the Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf. The Raptor course is home to the FRY'S OPEN and offers a fair but challenging layout with spectacular views and lush landscape. The beautiful par 5 18th is bordered by a lake and offers long hitters a potential eagle opportunity in front of the Phil's Grill crowd. The community offers the award-winning 40,000-square-foot Grayhawk Golf Clubhouse which includes a complete Golf Shop and Trading Co., men’s and women’s locker rooms, and conference rooms. A spectacular addition to the Grayhawk Golf Club is The Fairway House. A 7,200-square-foot entertainment facility perfect for weddings, receptions, meetings and dinner parties. Outstanding views coupled with an ambiance that only Grayhawk can create makes this a must for your entertainment needs. PARKS AND TRAILS Grayhawk residents also benefit from other community features such as 30 miles of hiking, biking and jogging trails as well as barbecue pavilions, tennis courts and neighborhood swimming pools. Additionally, every Grayhawk resident has access to the Resident Program Director, who maintains a yearly calendar of sporting events, social functions and cultural activities designed to help residents get to know one another while taking advantage of all Grayhawk has to offer.
